Two-time All-PSAC West 2nd Team Defensive Lineman Signs With Predators

The Orlando Predators Proud member of the National Arena League announced today that they have signed former Two-time All-PSAC West second team defensive lineman Jamarea (Jay) Bullock for the 2023 season.

In high school Bullock played for head coach Jim Stephens at University (Ohio) School and was a two-time all-conference selection, being named to the first team as a senior and second team as a junior. He landed a spot on the all-district first team in back-to-back seasons as a junior and senior and served as a team captain. Jay was a three-year starter. 

Bullock signed with Gannon University in 2015 and was redshirted. In 2016 Bullock played in all 11 games... named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete...made his collegiate debut during a 31-9 victory against Southern Connecticut State in the season opener...recorded three tackles and one sack during his first game...followed with two stops during a 24-20 win at Shippensburg and three tackles during a 30-27 overtime victory against Bloomsburg...has a tackle during seven of his first eight contests.

2017: Received a medical redshirt...named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete.

2018: Named All-PSAC West second team at defensive line...Appeared in and started all 11 games for the Golden Knights at defensive end...Registered 39 total tackles, including 14 solo...Put up 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks...Recorded at least five tackles in four games, including a season-high six against Kutztown...Helped lead a defense that finished the year fifth in the PSAC and 61st in the country in tackles for loss(6.9)

2019: Named All-PSAC West second team at defensive line...Appeared in all 11 games, making 10 starts for the Golden Knights on the defensive line...Registered 24 total tackles, including 11 solo...Finished third on the team with 6.0 tackles for loss, including 1.5 sacks...Led the team and the PSAC, and was 12th in the nation with two blocked kicks...Led the Golden Knights with four QB hurries...Put up a season-high six tackles and 1.0 sacks in a season-opening win over Southern Connecticut State...Helped a defensive unit that finished the season fifth in the PSAC in red zone defense (76.8) and sixth in the PSAC and 35th in the country in interceptions (14)

2020: Did not play - Covid Year

2021: Started all 11 games at defensive end and finished with 36 tackles, including 20 solo and 16 assists...had 4 TFL for 25 yards, including 2.5 sacks...tied for third in passes broken up with 3...had on fumble recovery...blocked a punt vs Northwood...matched career high with 6 tackles vs Slippery Rock...added 5 tackles, with 2.5 TFL and a sack against Mercyhurst...also had 5 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass broken up vs. Seton Hill...had a sack against Bloomsburg.
