Preds Sign Former UCF Kicker Dylan Barnas

Orlando, FLA -- The Orlando Predators have signed Dylan Barnas, a 24-year old kicker from Merritt Island, FL, former kicker for the UCF Knights. 

Special teams has been an issue for the Preds this season, with the team only converting on 51.3% of their PAT’s (17/33) and 50% (1/2) on FG attempts throughout their first five games. 

Over the course of his college career, Barnas saw minimal action as a Sophomore, but shined his Senior season connecting on 15 of 17 FG’s, nailing nine in a row at a point in time. Barnas only missed one extra point (69/70) during his tenure as a Knight.

Barnas boasted a career best 50-yard FG against USF in his final home game in 2019. His .882 field-goal percentage ranked 11th nationally and second in AAC and is the second highest single-season figure in UCF history. 

After going undrafted following his 2019 campaign, Baranas returned to UCF and participated in their Pro Day and posted up the following measurables: 

Height/Weight: 5'7.4", 190 lbs

Wingspan: 68 7/8"

Barnas will be kicking this weekend as the Orlando Predators take on the Jersey Flight at the Amway Center in beautiful downtown Orlando. The night is packed with fun and festivities including a live concert by national recording artist Nova Rex and Cycle Fever Bike Night. The party begins at 4pm outside the Amway Center and goes right up to Barnas’ first kick off at 7pm!
