Predators Add Depth

The Orlando Predators, proud member of the National Arena League announced they have signed former Jacksonville Shark WR/DB Rob Jones Jr, to the 2023 Roster.

Jones who enters his Fourth season in the National Arena League and first with the Predators.

Robert Jones (5'11, 185) recently played receiver for the Jacksonville Sharks appearing in 10 games with 26 receptions for 375 yards and 9 touchdowns.

In 2021 Jones played for the Tampa Bay Thunder (FFA) and helped them to a perfect record of 4-0. He totaled five catches for 140 yards and a touchdown. He Played on the punt return unit as well and added four returns for 45 yards. He also played for the Orlando Predators (NAL) in 2021 and totaled 15 catches for 126 yards. 2019: Jones played for the New York Streets. When he was a rookie he led them in all-purpose yards with 1164 yards averaging 105 yards a game, 65 receptions for 859 yards and 20 receiving touchdowns. this helped him to be ranked fifth overall in the NAL.

Jones played for the University of Delaware and totaled 36 career games played. He had 12 starts, caught 82 career passes for 1079 yards and eight touchdowns. He is ranked number 23 at the University of Delaware with 1079 receiving yards, number 10 all-time for career punts returns and punt yardage. 

Jones is a native of Tampa, FL where he played for Armwood High School. He played as a wide receiver, quarterback, and kick returner. He played in a 12-1 season where they played in the state playoffs back in 2008. He led the team in receiving as both a receiver and kick returner and earned first team All-Western Conference honors.
